United Grinding officials are pleased to announce that Gene Hallman has joined United Grinding as the Regional Sales Manager for the Southeast region. Hallman will be representing the Mikrosa, Schaudt, and Studer brands in Tennessee, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.

Hallman brings with him 29 years of industry experience. “I started my career at United Technologies in 1984. It was at UT that I was first exposed to grinding, in particular centerless grinding,” Hallman says.

After his tenure with United Technologies, Hallman worked in a number of job shops learning their frenetic work style – small lots, multiple changeovers, fast turnaround – and becoming adept at milling, turning and other types of grinding. He then spent a number of years in machine tool sales.

Hallman has a two-year degree from Midland Technical College, Columbia, SC, with a concentration on machine tool technology, especially tool and die making.

“I look forward to working with my colleagues at United Grinding and its clientele in the Southeast region,” Hallman says. “I feel my knowledge and experience will prove highly beneficial in meeting their unique needs.”
