Slow growth overseas and in N. America accelerated decrease.
Bloomberg Businessweek reports global dealer sales for Caterpillar Inc. fell 4% for the three months through January, according to company filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Officials for the company say the drop is because of slow growth overseas and North America. Asia-Pacific sales fell 12% and North American sales were down 11%, according to Businessweek. Sales in Latin America rose 3%, and the European, African, and Middle Eastern region increased 1%.
