MultiCam, Inc. announces a new RAM-Z style CNC machining center with up to 48” of gantry clearance and stroke. These machines are designed for machining large work envelope parts such as mold layups and thermoformed parts. RAM-Z style machines are available with a variety of automatic tool changing, high-RPM spindles (up to 20 HP) and are available with either 3- or 4-axis simultaneous configurations. Oversize gantry supports ride on dual 35mm linear bearings on each side of the tubular steel frame. The RAM-Z axis assembly also rides on 35mm linear bearings supported by 6 bearing blocks for ultra rigid positioning of the spindle and smooth cuts anywhere in the work envelope.
